McQueen Logistics is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. As a Recruiter in the logistics industry, you will play a vital role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to support our growing operations. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure we bring in the best candidates to meet the demands of our logistics and transportation business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, and recruit candidates for a variety of positions, including drivers, dispatchers, operations staff, and other key roles in the logistics industry.
- Candidate Screening: Conduct interviews, assess qualifications, and evaluate candidates to ensure they meet the necessary skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Job Posting & Networking: Create compelling job descriptions and post on various recruitment platforms, job boards, and social media. Attend job fairs and networking events to actively search for top talent.
- Candidate Experience: Provide an exceptional experience for candidates throughout the hiring process, from initial contact through onboarding.
- Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with department leaders and managers to understand their staffing needs, ensuring clear communication and alignment on role requirements.
- Maintain Talent Pipeline: Build and maintain a network of qualified candidates for future openings to ensure the company has a steady supply of talent.
- Onboarding Support: Assist in coordinating the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are set up for success as they begin their roles at McQueen Logistics.
- Recruitment Metrics & Reporting: Track key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and retention rates, to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Knowledge of current recruitment trends, tools, and best practices.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to think creatively in sourcing candidates.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
